This week Lili found a big stick after school and decided it would make a great archery bow. On the way home in the car she asked me if we had any elastic so she could really make it into a bow. So when we got home I found some elastic and we made a bow and some paper arrows. It was amazing that they actually work!! The girls have had lots of fun playing with them in the back yard for the rest of the week. Lili even made herself a target. I'm sure my Dad would be proud that his girls would even think of doing such a thing!
Watching the kids do this brought back lots of family memories for me as my Nan and Pop started and ran for many years the "Banana Coast Archers" in Bellingen. Nan used to enter us in competitions and because we were girls and not many girls did it, we used to win the trophies and medals!
